Rules For Teachers and Parents:
Stay out of the playing area !!
Please advise students: Do not bring any peanut products – Strictly Enforced !!
Individual prizes for each grade will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
In the event of a tie, 1st place will be decided by a playoff. This will probably require the students involved to stay past the official end of the tournament – make a plan for this before the tournament ! Ties for 2nd or 3rd places will be broken either a playoff or by using internationally accepted tiebreak methods – the choice will be made solely at the discretion of the Head Tournament Director.
Team pennants for 1st place only in Primary(1-3), Junior(4-6), Intermediate(7-8), and Senior(9-12) grades will be awarded after the tabulation of all results. The tabulation is usually completed shortly after the tournament is finished. The total points of the top three players from each grade from each school will count towards the school's total.
Students should be encouraged to shake hands with their opponents before and after each game.
