Touch move rules apply to ALL grades.
If you touch your piece or pawn, you must move it if it is legal to do so ! There is only one exception to the 'touch move' rule - if you want to adjust the position of a piece or pawn you must say "I adjust" or "j'adoube" BEFORE you touch the piece or pawn.
If you touch your opponent’s piece or pawn, you must capture it if is legal to do so !
If you take your hand off your piece or pawn, your move is complete as long as it is legal.
NEVER make any comment on your own or another player’s game !!!!
ALWAYS report your result to the Tournament Director immediately after your game finishes.
If you have ANY question during a game, raise your hand until a tournament director comes to see you.
